On-Site Spotlight: Air-Conditioning Unit Replacement

Every office depends on a reliable cooling system to keep the workday comfortable — but when a unit reaches the end of its service life, a proper replacement takes careful coordination and hands-on teamwork. These photos capture our team carrying out a full AC unit changeover at an office space, from teardown to reinstallation.

Work began at the ceiling, where technicians opened up the false ceiling panel to access the ducted unit above. Perched on ladders and a makeshift work platform, the team carefully disconnected wiring and piping before easing the old unit out through the tight ceiling cavity — all while protecting the surrounding office equipment with plastic sheeting to keep dust and debris contained.

Outside, a second team tackled the outdoor condenser unit, working together to lift and maneuver the heavy unit through a window opening — a job that calls for both physical coordination and precision, since even a slight misstep could damage the unit or the building façade.

Back at the compressor housing, one of our technicians worked through the internal wiring, carefully identifying and reconnecting the color-coded control wires to the terminal block. Getting this step right is critical: incorrect wiring can affect everything from compressor start-up to overall system safety, so each connection is checked and torqued down with precision tools.
